The 2025 trials season has started with the Bloodhound Club Spring championships at St leonards.
Our baby Keeper competed for the first time and was unplaced but his brother Kaleb, owned by the Westron family, was awarded the trophy for best ID and another for speaking to the line. What a wonderful start to his trialling career.
The Konni had her run in the intermediate stake, and my goodness it was tough terrain. Three and a half mile of flint and bare mud, it was by far the most gruelling line shed ever had to do, but I was enormously proud of the tenacity she showed and the way she kept casting and checking, until she found her runner. She was awarded 2nd place and I was thrilled with that.
