This weekend the brothers Keeper, Kaleb and Kashmir had a weekend away, along with their sister Krumble, at the Hound Association and the Club Show combined. In the Hound Association Championship Show, Farlap Kashmir won the Dog CC, his 1st, and his brother Keepsake won the res CC, and then in the BloodhoundClub open show that followed, Kaleb was best in show and Krumble was res best bitch

The ABB held their spring open show last weekend and it was very exciting for Eddy to win Best Bitch and BIS and for Kaleb to be awarded best dog and RFes BIS

This was the first Ch. Show since Crufts and I had entred Eddy as our judge hd already given Martha the CC and BOB so it seemed fair to give Eddy an outing. We had a change of judge last minute but nevertheless our new judge found her Dog CC and BOB in our Keeper, the res Dog CC in his brother kaleb (Suzi Westrons boy) and the bitch CC in Eddy, so we then tootled off to the Breeders stakes for a bit of fun with Kaleb, Krumble, Keeper an Merlin and came a very proud third plac

Day two at Crufts saw us in the breed judging, where Keeper and Martha did the double for the second year running. Dog CC and BOB Ch Farlap Keepsake Bitch CC Ch Farlap Qui Martha and also the res DCC went to Jane and Garys Farlap Kashmir.

There cant be many breeds (if any?) where the hounds you see winning and competing in working trials one week, are in the big ring at Crufts the next! What a wonderful versatile breed we are. We qualaified for the grand finale of the Breeders Stakes, which in itself is a first for bloodhounds, and to top it all we were awarded THIRD out of the top 40 teams present. Our winning team consisted of Keeper, kaleb, Kashmir and Krumble

A wonderfultrip"up North" to the borders, where the team competed in the Bloodhound Club Working trials. Keeper was awarded 2nd place in the novicestake, meaning he will now compete at the Junior level next time. He alsowon the ID cup. Kaleb (belonging to Suzi) won the Junior stake, moving him upto Intermediate, and Martha was 2nd. kaleb also won the ID stropy AND the speaking cup!

A new start to the year saw Keeper and Martha winning both CC (Keeper BOB) at manchester and a wonderful Group 2 placing.
